I’m going overseas!

One of my biggest regrets in life is that I have never been out of the country (besides, driving or taking a cruise to Mexico).

It was that regret that actually led me down the path to RV’ing 8 years ago (I’ve been RV’ing for 5 years but I did 3 years of plotting and planning beforehand).

I knew that whenever I did finally make it overseas, I wanted to be gone as long as I possibly could. I wanted to make the most out of it and go on the trip under the impression that I might not ever have another chance to make it back there again.

The thought of downsizing from an apartment to a backpack was daunting so I finally settled on just downsizing into an RV instead. Now, here we are 8 years later and the idea of downsizing from an RV to a backpack seems do-able… challenging, but do-able!

Traveling international has been in the back of my mind for the last couple of years, especially after having such an enjoyable 2 months down in Baja, Mexico last winter! That trip really encouraged me to pursue solving this long-standing regret.

I have a couple of co-workers who are dating and originally from Kathmandu, Nepal so when I go the invite to attend their wedding in their home country, I was very excited! When I found out that a handful of my fellow US-based co-workers were also going, I knew this was the opportunity I had been waiting so long for!

I plan to make the most out of the trip & spend several months overseas. Besides Nepal, I am probably going to do a month in Thailand, a month in Spain and a couple months bouncing around to other European countries!

My current plans have me flying out around March 1st and returning in mid-August! Almost 6 months! I am BEYOND geeked about this!
